Maybe I'm strange, but I have always
been drawn to the nose fur on cats. I think it may be the fact
that I find it so odd that they have fur on the
tops of their noses.
The enchantment of pussycat
noses extends to all cats for me. Every time I see
a big cat I have a strong desire to pat its nose.
It was a wonderful moment when I actually could,
while holding a lion cub at Lion Country Safari.
A few years ago, I found that I was not alone in my
fixation. My secretary, Mary, had the same feeling about dog
noses. I could always tell she had arrived in the morning when
Handsome appeared wearing fresh lipstick prints on his nose
fur.
