About Rick DellaRatta and Jazz for Peace...
In September 25, 2002 The Joshua Foundation and
the U.S. Mission to the U.N. co-sponsored the first "Jazz for Peace Concert"
featuring world renowned jazz pianist and vocalist Rick DellaRatta at the United
Nations in New York City. This concert is now recognized worldwide as "one of
the single most significant cultural events of our time" and has led to a
benefit concert series that has since helped over 250 organizations. To hear
some of Rick’s music, please log on to their web site at

The Pawprints Literacy Plus Foundation Mission…
We are very pleased Jazz for
Peace selected us for a concert in their award-winning series, and welcome their
fund-raising support for our mission: to build on animal "tails" to improve
literacy skills and enrich lives of at-risk youth, and seniors, plus enhance
awareness of the importance of kindness to animals, the environment and each
other. Since our inception in 2001, we have worked with over 1,000 children and
several hundred adults in NY, LA and other cities in the U.S. For more
