BACKGROUND

Pawprints is a book of upbeat, offbeat tales about dear friends - 2-legged, 4-legged, feathered and furry. You'll read about Handsome Hillebrandt, "The World's Best Dog" and Guerilla Cat, as well as orangutans, penguins and deer. You'll learn the truth about nose fur, and how to wiggle your own ears. These provocative short pieces are an easy read, fun and uplifting, written with wit and style.

Pawprints engages people of all ages. Adults call the stories everything from “enchanting” and “soothing, life leaf prints on the wind,” to “pure and wondrous…a bulwark against specie-ism.” Inner city teachers in New York and Los Angeles are hailing Pawprints’ effects on kids’ desire to read, write, be kinder to animals, and potentially, each other.

Ina will be available for interviews. You might want to ask her why she’s been sighted zooming into the Los Angeles Zoo, crying, “It’s a jungle out there!” And what does a certain gorilla have to do with her reluctance to leave her new habitat? What did squirrel prints have to do with motivating her to write the book? How does Pawprints help people de-stress and notice the nose fur? How is the book contributing to animal and environmental welfare? And on the serious side, you might want to ask why Fortune 500 companies and non-profits hire her to conduct her UN-Workshops. Or perhaps inquire about her unique connection to jazz.
